Angelica Panganiban was born in the Philippines. She is an Filipino American actor as well as a comedian, host of a television show and model. The rest of her life was a new regimen of hemodialysis, followed by peritoneal dilution. In the 80 days she was in the hospital, her life changed forever. Angelica had completed a half-year of dialysis, and one year half year of treatment, was ready for her biggest operation of all - an organ replacement. It was her own mother who donated her kidney. Angelica Hale along with her mother underwent the transplant of a kidney on the premises of Emory University Hospital in Atlanta as well as Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston on September 13 2013.
